Work and Clients: Julie obtained a 2i Honours degree in Business Studies in 1989 and then worked for many years in the Insurance industry, qualifying as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute during this time.

Julie took a career break in 2001 after having her family and in 2003 she decided to retrain and become a legal professional. Julie passed the Graduate Diploma in Law in 2005 and the Legal Practice Course in 2007 having studied via distance learning at De Montfort University in Leicester and whilst working for Sussex Police from 2006.

In July 2007 Julie started her training contract with Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and qualified as a Solicitor in July 2009.

Having a long-held interest in Criminal Law Julie was pleased to join the Criminal Department at Knight Polson in September 2009.  

Outside work: Julie enjoys reading, exercise and keeping fit and spending quality time with her two children.
