Work and Clients: David obtained
a 2:1 BA (Hons) Humanities Degree at Brighton Polytechnic in
1984 before deciding to become a member of the Legal
Profession by passing the CPE in 1988 and the Law Society
finals a year later.
David completed Articles of Clerkship at
a firm of solicitors in Christchurch before moving to the
Southampton area where he gained experience in all areas of
litigation. Further moves within the Southampton area have
allowed him to concentrate on Criminal Defence.
David joined Knight Polson's Criminal
Defence department in June 2009, bringing with him the
experience he has gained dealing with Trials, Bail
Applications and sentencing in the Magistrates' and Youth
Court. He will be advising and assisting clients at the Police
Station and undertaking Advocacy in the Magistrates' Court.
David was awarded Higher Courts Advocacy rights of audience in
March 2010.
Outside of Work: David's hobbies
include watching and sometimes playing football and cricket as
well as gardening and reading.
